Barbara Kleinman

We would like to honor our mother Barbara L. Kleinman who passed away peacefully, June 17,2023 at Scott’s House in Santa Fe, NM.  She was 97.  She was a kind and generous wife, mother, aunt, grandparent and friend. After leaving her home of 60+ years in Shawnee Mission, Kansas she moved to Santa Fe to be near her daughter. 

She enjoyed her career as an Occupational Therapist, retiring from teaching at the University of Kansas.  She and our father loved to travel, always taking the scenic route.  She was a wonderful watercolorist and many of her works adorn our walls.  

Special thanks to her loving caregiver and friend Alejandra and all the staff at Scott’s House.

Barbara leaves her son Kim (wife Ellen, son Sam) and daughter Elkie (husband Dave, step grandchildren Shelby, Jesse and Allia and two great grandchildren).

Her smile and giggle were contagious.  She will be missed.
