Barbara Aragon Radosevich

August 7, 1951 — April 22, 2016

Barbara Aragon Radosevich was born August 7, 1951 in Socorro, NM the daughter of David Aragon and Amadita (Rael) Aragon. Barbara was a dedicated employee of the New Mexico State Police for 35 years. She enjoyed reading, listening to 60’s music, her VW bug and her pets. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, David and Amadita Aragon; her brother, David, sister Marcella; and her father-in-law, J. David Radosevich. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Mark Radosevich of Santa Fe; sisters, Josephine Samay and husband Bob of Pacifica, CA, Juanita Alvarado and husband Alex of San Bruno, CA, Eva Aragon of Horse Springs, NM, Sylvia Dixon and husband Steve of Perryton, TX; brothers, Paul Aragon and wife Natividad of Healdsburg, CA, Andres Aragon and wife Rosa of Horse Springs, NM, and Samuel Aragon and wife Cathy of Freemont, CA. Barbara is also survived by her mother-in-law, Griselda A. Radosevich; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony Radosevich, Fred and Dianna Radosevich, Robert and Roberta Radosevich, Frances and Tom Torres; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Barbara was extremely proud of her 35 years of dedicated service with the New Mexico State Police as an administrative secretary. During her tenure she was assigned to all of the divisions and revived numerous accolades including “Civilian of the Year”. Upon her retirement in 2008, she held the distinction as being the senior (longest tenured) civilian NMSP employee. While working in Las Cruces, she met and married Mark Radosevich and they shared each other’s lives for the next 39 years. Barbara’s love of life can only be compared to her love of animals; Mia has been a faithful companion for 9 years. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 am Friday, April 29, 2016 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Place NE, Albuquerque, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am Friday. Her family has requested memorial contributions be offered in her name to the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society, 100 Caja del Rio Road, Santa Fe, NM 87507
