Antonia Martinez

Antonia (Toni) M. Martinez went with our Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, with her husband by her side after bravely battling cancer for nine years. Born March 10, 1945 in Chupadero, New Mexico to Domingo and Pita Griego. She married Dan Martinez, of 51 years in 1964. She retired from the Department of Transportation with the State of New Mexico. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed works of art and created many paintings from pictures she had taken. Antonia is preceded in death by her parents Domingo and Pita, brothers Severiano, Eulalio, and Elijio Griego. Sister Fedelina Jimenez and many other relatives. She is survived by her husband Dan Martinez, son Danny (Colleen), daughters Claudine (Gino) and Maureena, grandchildren; Levi, Travis, David, Alexandria, Milo, and Elios, siblings; Frank Griego (Bobbie), Lucy Lopez, Lillian Cordova (Mike),and Bernice Gonzales, special in-laws Vincent Martinez (Terri) and Jenny Morelos, and many other friends and relatives. A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, March 16, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, with a Mass following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date. Special thank you to Presbyterian Medical Services, The Hospice Center and Bee Zollo R.N. for the special care during her last months. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
