Anna Mae Yordy

Anna Mae Yordy, 90 of Espanola passed away Sunday Dec. 11th 2016. Anna Mae retired as a nurse from the Espanola hospital. Born in Derry PA, Anna Mae graduated from nursing school and work in Pennsylvania for five years. She worked to help support her siblings. She inspired four of her younger sisters to become nurses. Her church needed nurse volunteers in 12 different locations around the US. Espanola, NM happened to be on the list. Anna Mae decided to give up a good paying job and volunteer for 2 years. She fell in love with the beautiful Espanola valley and the wonderful people. She lived in Espanola for over 60 years. She was the oldest Daughter of late Herman and Mary (Gamble) Sinemus. Anna Mae was the proceeded in death by husband Dr. Merle Yordy, daughter Missy Yordy, son Mel Yordy, sisters Frances Sinemus, Mary Edna Neighley, Florence Senimus, brother Herman. She is survived by daughter Martha Yordy, son Jason Yordy (Crusita Yordy), grandchildren Joy Smith, Brian Yordy, Mason Yordy, Deidra Yordy, Chad Yordy, great grand-children Melissa Yordy. Sisters Rose Planinsek, Linda (Larry) Deal, brothers Lewis, Lonnie (Judy), Victor (Cass), Ronald (Linda). Public Viewing will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016, 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Rivera Family Funeral Home Chapel, Espanola, New Mexico Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Valley View Methodist Church in Espanola, New Mexico Interment will follow Funeral Service at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico
