In loving memory of Ann Kathleen “Kathy” Hart. Kathy passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 2, 2026. She was 74 years old.
Kathy was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on July 15, 1951, to Robert and Florence Hart. The oldest of six children, she grew up in Santa Fe, attending St. Francis Elementary, Loretto Girls’ School and graduating from St. Michael’s High School.
She later attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and a Master’s degree in Childhood Psychology. While living in Las Cruces, she met her husband and had her three children – Kiesha, Leah and James. She later returned to Santa Fe to raise her family.
Kathy taught elementary education at St. Francis Elementary for several years and went on to become the Human Resources Director of Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Santa Fe for the remainder of her career. In retirement, she built a small farm where she cared for goats, chickens and her beloved cats. Playing tennis was her greatest passion and she enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. She played tennis the day before she passed.
She is survived by her children, Kiesha Kilby of Montrose, CO, Leah Frazier of White Rock, NM, and James G Kilby of Santa Fe, NM; her grandchildren, James W Frazier (Isabella), Lan Frazier, Madison and Harper Kilby; soon to be great-grandson; her siblings; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Hart and Florence Pearl Hart, and her brother Ron Hart.
A celebration of life and mass will be held at a later date.
