Angela (Angie) E. Rivera

Angela (Angie) E. Rivera passed away on April 16, 2015 at Sombrillo Nursing Home in Los Alamos. She was born in October 17, 1927 to Beronis and Alfredo Rivera in Nambe, NM. She graduated from Santa Fe High in 1946. She moved to Albuquerque in 1951 and worked at Sandia National Laboratory for 37 years until she retired in 1988. She is survived by her sister, Lucy Malone (Bob) from Los Alamos and by her brother, Carlos Diego (Evelyn) from Las Cruces and by numerous nieces and nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Arthur, Alfred and Lorenzo (Larry) Rivera and sisters-in-law Marie, Consuelo and Josephine. Her hobbies were art, gardening, and traveling. She was a member of Saint Charles Church in Albuquerque. The family thanks the Los Alamos Hospice Center staff for their care giving in the last few months. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Albuquerque, NM.
