Alfred D. Chavez 73, passed away on May 14, 2018 he was a resident of Santa Fe, NM. He was born on July 11, 1944 in Albany, CA to Victoria Rodriguez and Antonio Chavez. He is preceded in death by his parents: Victoria Rodriguez and Antonio Chavez, wife: Florence Chavez, sons: Alfred Chavez Jr. and Phillip Chavez, sister: Ida Chavez, and brother: Manuel Chavez. Alfred is survived by his sons: Michael and Jacob (Elisa), grandchildren: Jared, Joseph, Christopher, Michael Jr., Destiny, Jalyssa and Selena, great-grandchildren: Trinity, Jeremy and Lilliana, sister: Vicky. Fred was a long time resident of Santa Fe, NM. He was in the Navy, Owner of Chavez Woodworks. Fred was a hard working man, who always put others before himself. He loved to joke around. His passion was carpentry but family was everything to him. Pallbearers: Jacob, Joseph, Jared Chavez, Justin Barela, Michael Chavez Sr. and Michael Chavez Jr. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 7:00 pm at The Kiva Chapel of Light located at 417 East Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM. Mass will be on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10:00 am at Santa Maria De La Paz Catholic Church located at 11 College Dr., Santa Fe, NM.
