Alexia Yareli Sigala Miranda

Alexia Yareli Sigala Miranda passed away suddenly on September 5, 2026, at the age of 24. Born on October 19, 2001, Alexia moved through the world with a spirit that was full of life, joy, humor, and kindness. She was lovable and bright, the kind of person whose presence changed a room the moment she entered it. Sarcastic in the most endearing way, full of love, and known as the light of every single room, she brought comfort, laughter, and warmth to the people around her.

Alexia built a life marked by heart, determination, and care for others. She attended Capital High School, Santa Fe Community College, and Vogue College of Cosmetology. For five years, she was a loving manager at Target, someone people turned to whenever there was a problem. She had also started her own business and was preparing for a beautiful career that was just beginning to take flight. Her proudest accomplishments included her wedding, coaching, college, and her remarkable ability to motivate others. She had a gift for encouraging people, for helping them believe in themselves, and for bringing everyone together with love.

She embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. Alexia loved basketball, volleyball, and track. She could make an ordinary moment unforgettable, whether by singing in the shower or simply gathering the people she loved and filling the space with joy. She was deeply loved because she loved so deeply in return. She wanted to be a wife and to be the most caring mother anyone could ever ask for, and those dreams were held close to her heart.

One cherished memory from her husband captures her spirit so clearly. On a first trip together, while walking to a J. Cole concert, she came upon a park where the sprinklers were going off and said, “let’s run through, baby, you up for it?” What followed was laughter, running hand in hand, smiling, kissing, and fully enjoying life in the moment. On the day she passed, that memory returned in a tender way: standing outside, missing Alexia, the sprinklers came on again, a sign of the joy, love, and nearness that still remain. It is the kind of memory that reflects exactly who she was—playful, spontaneous, loving, and unforgettable.

She is survived by her spouse, Francisco Miranda, her high school sweetheart. They had been together since June 3, 2018, and were planning to be married on September 5, 2026. Together they dreamed of children and had recently reached one of their goals by buying a home. Their life together was built on love, hope, and shared plans for the future.

She is also survived by her mother, Marisela Sigala, who was not only her mother but also a guiding and trusted presence in her life; by her father, Marco Sandoval, her stepfather, whom she loved and trusted as her father; by her older sister, Nayeli Sigala-Verdugo, her partner in crime and guardian angel; and by her little brother, Yasell Sandoval, who was also her best friend. Alexia’s love extended beautifully across generations. She is survived by her beloved nephew, Liam Sigala, whom she treated as her own child, and by her grandmother, Camila Sigala, whom she loved with all her heart and protected fiercely. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many more family members that loved her deeply. In their love for her, and in the love she gave so freely to each of them, her family carries forward a bond that remains enduring and strong.

Alexia was the most loved person in the room because she made others feel seen, welcomed, and cared for. She brought joy to everyone around her and will be missed beyond words. To those who knew her, she truly was an angel.

As family and friends gather to honor her life, they will remember a young woman whose laughter, love, and radiant spirit will continue to shine.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, September14, 2026 at Rivera Kiva Chapel of Light at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery located at 417 Rodeo Road Santa Fe, NM 87505.
