Alcarita R. Valdez

Alcarita R. Valdez, 88, of Vadito passed away on January 20, 2016. She is preceded in death by husband, Benedicto J. Valdez, grandson, Daniel “DJ” Valdez, parents, Demecio and Amadita Romero, sisters, Maria Manzanares, Feloniz Montoya,and Rufina Martinez, brothers, Donecimo, Victoriano and Tino Romero. She is survived by her children, Orlinda Trujillo (Andrew), Johnny Valdez (Carol), Ivan Valdez (Mandy), Oralia Martinez (Roger), Leroy Valdez (Georgia), Albert Valdez and Danny Valdez, 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, sisters, Severania Archuleta and Helen Montoya, many other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Father Daniel Gutierrez, the staff at Holy Cross Hospital ICU and her caregivers, Helen Vidaurre and Jessica Ortiz.Rosary was recited on January 26, 2016. Funeral mass was held on January 27, 2016. Both were held at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church. Interment followed at the Vadito Cemetery.
