Abel Salazar Uncle Abe, a resident of Ranchos de Taos, NM passed away on October 8, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Levi and Irene Salazar; daughter, Veronica Cordova; granddaughters, Lisa and Tina Chavez; brothers, Ramon and Ismael Salazar; sister, Eloida Garcia; nephews, David and Levi Salazar; nieces, Linda Esquibel; Jennifer Salazar and Wanda Garcia. He is survived by his children, Yolanda Chavez; Yvonne Salazar (Grace); Cathy Visarraga (Eugene); Alex Salazar (Venetia); Francisco Salazar; mother of his children, Betty Salazar; son-in-law, Herbert Cordova Sr.; his siblings, Theresa, Josie and Wallace (Lula). His grandchildren, Felisha Torrez (Francisco); Amanda Valencia (Jerome); Geno Visarraga (Savanna); Reyes Visarraga; Alexis Salazar; Stephanie Martinez (Gil); Desserae Cordova; Herbert Cordova Jr. (Iesha); his great-grandchildren, Bryan; Faith; and baby Israel; Diego; Elijah; Aubrey; Dylan; Aaliyah; Dominic; and Asia; Miranda; Ariana; Santiago; Ryan; Alesandra; Luciano, and Pablo. What a blessing to have our Dad leave this world to go to heaven on the same day he was born 77 years later. A Funeral mass took place on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at San Francisco de Assisi Catholic Church in Ranchos de Taos. A private burial with family members will take place at a later date.
